Samsung has
unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S5 as it continues the
chain of its highly successful Galaxy S series of smartphones. This is one of
the most highly anticipated smartphone of the year and it is certain to
generate a lot of buzz in the coming days.
At the Mobile
World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung has unveiled its smartphone
alongside galaxy gear 2 and galaxy gear fit smartwatches.
Samsung
Galaxy S5 has improved on the galaxy S4 to bring out a new side of smartphone.
Galaxy S5 comes with a fingerprint sensor and is resistant to dust and water.
The new
smartphone has a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 432ppi (pixels per
inch) and a resolution of 1920 × 1080. It comes with a 2.5GHz
Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor and a RAM of 2GB.
It possesses
the latest Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat) operating system. It also has a strong battery
of 2,800mAh.
The camera
has been bumped up to 16-Megapixel and can take a 4K (UHD) video at 30FPS (frames
per second) and 1080p (FHD) video at 60FPS. It has a front camera of 2.1-megapixel
which can take a 1080p (FHD) video at 30FPS.
It has Wi-Fi
802.11 ac, 4G LTE network. It also possess finger scanner, heart rate sensor,
NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. It comes with USB 3.0 connector. Contrary to popular
beliefs that Samsung will follow in the step of Apple’s iPhone 5s by using a
64-bit processor, Samsung didn’t put a 64-bit process or into the Galaxy S5
device.
Samsung has
announced that it will be available starting 11th of April in 150 countries.
