Glo ready to build the biggest data centre in Nigeria

Nigerian mega telecoms operator Globacom has inaugurated its 20,000 square feet Internet Data Centre in Lagos that will serve the function of providing co-location, disaster recovery and hosting dedicated services to clients in Nigeria. The data centre is also backed up in other locations which mean the data is reasonably safe.
And Glo is not stopping its efforts there as it wants to build “Nigeria’s largest Iconic Data Centre” in the FCT, Abuja. It says the new data centre will be able to provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 enterprise data services. It will also provide network based services, applications, equipment and cloud services in a highly safe and secure environment.
