Announcement!! Announcement!!! We hereby announce that Alhaji Aliko Dangote,
the richest man in Africa has taken his wealth to a whole new and historic
level.
Dangote is
the first African man to reach the $20bn mark and is now in the top 25 richest
in the world, according to Forbes. According to Forbes, he is now richer than
Russia’s richest man and Arsenal FC shareholder Alisher Usmanov
(coincidentally, they’re both Arsenal fans and I’m also an Arsenal fan (lool)),
India’s steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, and almost tie with Mukesh Ambani.
The Hausa
man from Northern Nigeria has attained the mark of $20bn due to the fact that
his 93% stake in Dangote Cement is now worth $19.5bn.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote |
He is now
looking forward to catch up with the almighty Google’s founders, Larry Page and
Sergey Brin. Dangote rose from the $16.1bn he was worth in March when Forbes
released its annual rich list.
This
announcement also go to all pessimist Nigerians who never find anything positive
about Nigeria, Nigeria is a great nation that contains good people, and rich
ones too.
