Sony Corporations
has today unveiled its expected Sony Xperia Z1 android smartphone at the IFA in
Berlin, Germany. It is expected that this will be an improvement over Xperia Z
which was launched in January but failed to compete against the biggest phones
of the year yet, HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
It is
expected that the newly unveiled Xperia Z1 will offer a better competition to
these high end smartphones. And with impressive specifications which it boasts
of, it will be a disappointment if it doesn’t compete with the likes of HTC One
and Samsung Galaxy S4.

S4 and slightly bigger than the HTC One. It is expected that the Sony
smartphone will have the capability of supporting 4G service which makes it a
tempting option for people who love surfing the web.
The new
Xperia Z1 has come with the 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
compared to 1.5GHz in the Xperia Z. The new android smartphone also come with a
2GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 operating system.
It comes with
an internal memory of up to 16GB a microSD card expansion slot of up to 64GB. It
will be available in black, white, and purple colours. It has a screen
resolution of 1920 × 1080.
One of the
biggest strengths of the Sony Xperia Z1 is the features packed in its camera
and imaging abilities. It comes with a 20.7 megapixel camera which can capture up
to 30 images both before you press the shutter and afterwards.
“The Xperia
Z1 offers you best-in-class imaging and a revolutionary new way to capture and
share your memories,” Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai said during a press conference about
the dust and water resistant smartphone.
The Xperia Z1
also comes with a 3000mAh battery for its power needs; this is an improvement
on 2300mAh battery that came with Xperia Z which means the new Xperia Z1 should
not have battery problems.
It is
expected that Xperia Z1 will be available to users in Europe by the end of this
month and it will come with €100 worth of free contents from Sony
Entertainment.
