Contrary to
earlier reports that the Lumia 1520 phablets could be launched as early as the26th of this month in New York, another report has surfaced from Pocket-Lint
that the launch event would now occur in late October.
There were
earlier reports by The Verge that the event would take place by 15th of October
but the new report has debunked the rumour claiming it will be later in the
month not the middle. The date being touted is the week beginning from October
21.

The report
also claims that the event may likely not hold in New York as this may likely
be its last product to be unveiled before handing over to Microsoft. There are
rumours it may hold at Nokia’s headquarters in Finland.
This will
also be the first device to be unveiled after the announcement that Nokia
mobile unit is being sold to Microsoft for a price of $7.2 billion.
The phablet
is expected to have a 6-inch full HD screen, a 1080p display and a quad core
processor. You can read our previous post to get more details about the Nokia
