According
to reports from the Wall Street Journal, the next iPad Minis coming into the
market will spot a retina display. This is against a report that earlier
surfaced online yesterday that the new iPad Mini is not coming with a retina
display.
The earlier
report indicated that the next iPad Mini will not have a retina display the
same way the iPad Mini launched in November of 2012 lacked a high resolution
display.
However,
Wall Street Journal has indicated that people in the know claim that the next
iPad Mini coming from the Cupertino based company will spot a retina display.
“Apple is
working with suppliers in Asia on its next iPad Mini with a high resolution
‘retina’ display, unlike the current iPad Mini that comes with a lower
resolution screen,” Wall Street Journal indicated in the report.
The report also went on to state that the
coming iPad Mini will have a 7.9-inch screen like the previous version and
possibly multiple colours.
“The size
of the new tablet will likely be the same as the current 7.9-inch model, which
was released in November last year. Apple has also been contemplating multiple
color back covers for the new tablet.” it said.
It has been
reported that LG electronics and Japan based Sharp electronics are producing
the retina display screen after Taiwan based AU Optronics was dumped for
problems with its supply chain.
Perhaps the
amusing part of it is that Apple wants to include its arch enemy and legal foe
Samsung as part of the supply chain for the said screens in order to have
enough supply of the screen.
This is not
the first time Samsung will be supplying parts to Apple so it seems this is a
case of people who can’t agree but yet can’t live without each other. Although
analysts have predicted that the retina display could be included in the iPad
Mini by 2014 and not this year.
Word in the town which I also subscribe to is
that Apple is directly responsible for this latest round of rumour. It is
believed that Apple moved fast to reject the earlier rumour about iPad Mini not
having retina display to avoid customers moving to the newly launched Google
Nexus 7 instead of waiting for the iPad Mini.
Apple has
not yet given its comment about the rumour.
My opinion; previois nexus was a good hit upon its availabilty in the market almost bought one myself, but not to make the same mistake twice this week i will wait for that confirmation. HI itsAUTOTASTIC
