With the
obvious fact that the Galaxy Gear and the Galaxy Note 3 will in fact be
launched on the September 4 event of Samsung in Berlin, a leak has shown what
the interface may look like and its form of connection to smartphones.
A leaked
picture from evleaks on Twitter yesterday showed what the homescreen of the
smartwatch could look like. It showed that the smartwatch will use NFC for its
connection to smartphones.

It also shows
a screen which contains app Samsung Gear Manager, ‘find my watch’ application
which is similar to the ‘find my phone’ app on Android, the shortcut to other
apps and the Help and Settings option. Of course the watch will run on android
operating system. The leak also showed the model name of the smartwatch which is
SM-V700.
The leak only
showed the screen and didn’t show the body, of which the media doesn’t have an
idea yet how it will look like. Samsung have been able to keep a tight leash on
the pictures of Gear but we will see if they will be able to keep it off the
media before the launch in September, next week.
There have been
many rumours surrounding the Gear as at this moment. Some sources have claimed
that it will have a 1.67-inch screen with a resolution of 300 ×
300 while others have indicated that it will have a 2.5-inch screen with a
resolution of 320 × 320.
Time will
soon tell which of this rumour is correct. Very soon, the picture of the
beautiful (hopefully) device will be out in the open to everyone. Stay tuned so
that you don’t miss out on any of the detail.
