Chinese
smartphone maker is in plans to make an Apple iPhone 5C clone which will be
released into the Chinese market after the original low budget iPhone 5C is
released into the market.
It is
expected that the cloned phone which will be named i5C will arrive into the
Chinese market by September.

This won’t be
the first time GooPhone will clone an Apple device as it did the same with the
Apple iPhone 5 by releasing its own GooPhone i5 around the same time that Apple
released the iPhone 5.
GooPhone even
claimed that they have patented the i5 design in China before Apple had a
chance to patent its iPhone 5 design.
Though the
low-budget iPhone 5C will not cost much compared to the iPhone 5, the GooPhone
i5C will cost $99. This will still cost lower than the budget iPhone 5C which
is expected to cost about $200 to $300.
The smartphone
will have a 4-inch screen, 1.2GHz dual-core MT6572 processor and 1GB RAM. It will
have an 8 Megapixel camera at the rear and 2 Megapixel front camera.
In Nigeria,
it is often a common saying that the Chinese are fond of producing fake
products. I won’t dwell much on that anyway because they still have a better
economy than us. One thing we don’t know yet is how Apple will react to this.
