Samsung Electronics West Africa unveiled the new tech television in Lagos recently. The Samsung s9 TV which was built with one of the best picture qualities you can find on TV is now available for sale in stores nationwide.

The Samsung S9 smart TV features an 85-inch screen and offers more than four times the pixels available on other smart TVs. The TV is housed in a minimal, freestanding metal frame that allows it to rotate freely and appear to float in mid-air. At that incredible size, the Samsung S9 is the largest ultra-high definition TV in the world.

To improve the viewers’ experience, the TV also has the S-Recommendation feature where viewers can request for a movie or TV show suggestion or request a movie with a particular actor. The TV utilizes the history of movies the user has watched to find a suitable movie.

It comes packed with it a quad core processor and an array of 120-watt speakers which Samsung claims can give users an audio experience that is six times better than standard TV sets.
At the presentation of the product in Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, Managing Director, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr Brovo Kim said: “Picture quality, advanced features and modern design are all areas in which consumers are steadily demanding more from their TVs.

“At Samsung, we are meeting these demands with our 2013 Smart TVs, which offer effortless and intuitive ways for our consumers to discover and share more of the content they love. The S9 comes complete with features to ensure the best picture quality possible, regardless of video source, towards creating the ultimate lean back experience for our consumers.”

The Samsung S9 was first revealed in January at the Las Vegas CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2013. It is expected that the 110-inch model will also be released later this year.
