Auction for valuable goods have always been a spicy affair and this is proving no difference, in fact it is even spicier.

The race to have a cup of coffee with Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has reached another record-breaking point as there is now a bid of $605,000 to be on the same table with him.

This enormous amount has set a new record online as the highest value ever bidded for an online auction.

This beats and even doubles the previous record which was $255,000 to spend a day with former U. S. President Bill Clinton.

Initially the base price for the auction is $50,000 but at this point in time, you should not even show your face with that ‘paltry’ amount.

The event was auctioned on Charitybuzz. The bidder of $605,000 is Povely.com, a company that makes Povely Audio Bible.

This bid is only $5,000 short of a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster which goes for $610,000.

With fifteen more days to go before the auction rounds off, there is still room left for more surprises.

In addition this is not a day with Tim Cook and I don’t expect the coffee date to last more than 2 hours which makes it more surprising.

It is rightly said that most entities entering this auction are doing it to win deals with Apple or even for publicity.

Proceeds from the auction are expected to benefit the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
