Facts about the largest passenger airplane in the world

From the time when it was unimaginable that something could fly in the air from one place to another, to the time when people and even goods (cargo) can now be moved over long distances, it is safe to say revolution has occurred in the history of men.

But even when you are not yet over the awe of this wonderful invention, there are still wonderful things that have been achieved over the years in the aviation industry.
The Airbus A380 had its first flight on 27th of April, 2005.The double-decker plane was first introduced into the market on 25th of October, 2007 with Singapore Airlines.

The flight was from Singapore to Sydney. Passengers bought seats in a charity online auction paying between $560 and $100,380.

Then, it became the largest passenger airplane in terms of number of passengers it can carry.

Today, eight years down the history lane, the Airbus A380 still continues to hold the title of the world’s largest passenger airplane after displacing Boeing 747-400 airplane which has a maximum seating capacity of 660 people.

There are few things you should know about the Airbus A380 that will be enumerated in this post:

9.       It has a range of 15,400 km at design load.

10.   The internal working temperature of the plane’s four engines is 3100 degrees. The engines are of the same lengths as Mercedes C-series car.

11.   The plane flies at an altitude of 43,000 feet, with maximum operating speed of 587 miles/hour.
