At the
ongoing Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2014 in Las Vegas, Panasonic has
unveiled a mega 20-inch tablet that has two major unique features: screen size
and an expensive price.
Panasonic has
unveiled the Panasonic Toughpad 4K UT-MA6 which wowed many observers especially
not with its features, but with its price. The new tablet comes with an Intel
Core i7-3687U vPro processor.

It’s equipped
with NVIDIA Quadro K1000M GPU and a 20-inch IPS Alpha LCD screen. It has a
resolution of 3840 × 2560 pixels and a ration of 15:10.
It also comes
with a massive 16GB RAM and a memory size of 256GB. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
4.0, USB 3.0 and gigabit Ethernet port. It is 12mm thick at its thickest point.
It weighs 2.5kg and has a battery life of 2.5 hours.
The new Toughpad
was made with materials of greater resistance than a normal tablet. It has a
magnesium alloy case and glass-fibre bezel and back which makes the tablet able
to survive a fall of 2.5ft (76cm).
At what cost?
Only $6,000 (960,000 naira). The Panasonic tablet which is expected to go on
sale by the end of February in the United States will cost $6,000 for a single
unit of the device.
In comparison
to popular tablets, the price of Toughpad 4K UT-MA6 will account for 12 iPad
Airs. It will account for 10 units Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.
