When Apple
debuted the fingerprint scanner on the latest iPhone 5S, Apple and Samsung
fans, with different motives, wondered if Samsung was going to copy this (and
probably improve it) or how was it going to top the new technology? Well, new
reports have indicated that Samsung will likely take Apple to the cleaners as
it is rumoured an eye scanner will be used as security instead of a fingerprint
scanner.
New reports from Androidsas have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be announced at
the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is expected to hold in Barcelona, Spain
from the 24th of February to 27th. Much fact is not known about how the eye
scanner will work but it is expected that it will involve biometrics from the
eyeballs to unlock it.

Not much details
is known about the device presently but it is expected to come with a 64-bit A7
processor (which was firstly featured in the iPhone 5S), yet to be released
Android 4.4 KitKat, 3GB of RAM, 16MP camera and will likely come in a metal
case unlike previous versions of the S series which came in plastic finish.
Consumers complained that the Samsung S4 looked cheap because of the plastic
finish.
There are
various reports that despite Samsung Galaxy S4 being the best-selling
smartphone in this 2013, Samsung is not satisfied with the sales value. It is
expected that Samsung wants to try to remedy this with the Samsung Galaxy S4.
One thing you
must note is that most of these talks are just rumours and the final product
may be different. It is better to just treat it as a rumour.
Interesting!
