There have
been previous rumours of Samsung launching its smartwatch and the Galaxy Note 3
at the IFA conference in Germany by September but the rumours have now gained
more ground as Bloomberg have now added to it.
Bloomberg
claims that people in the knowledge of the matter have revealed that the device
will be unveiled alongside Galaxy Note 3 by September 4, two days before the
IFA conference in Berlin, Germany.
The Gear will
be able to handle phone calls, browse the internet, and handle emails according
to the sources. It will be powered by Google’s Android operating system.
This move
according to analysts, is to beat Samsung’s biggest rival Apple to the
smartwatch market. Companies like Sony already have smartwatch in the market
and it is being predicted that the smartwatch market could be a very big one in
the nearest future just like the smartphone market is now.
Not to
forget, Samsung is the leading smartphone manufacturer worldwide and it will also
be looking to lead the market for another profitable product. There have been
previous rumours that Apple is also planning to make its own smartwatch in the
nearest future so this can be expected the be a fiercely contested race very
soon.
