Sony has revealed
at its Gamescom conference that the new Play Station 4 will be available to
users in the United States and Canada by November 15th and European users will
be able to get their hands on it by the 29th of the same month.
15 new game
titles were announced for the PS4 with the console’s lead system architect Mark
Cerny calling it Sony’s “strongest launch lineup in playstation history.”

The Play
Station 4 will be priced at $399 for users in the U.S. and Canada while it will
be priced €399 or £349 for users in Europe. PS4 has a
game format of optical discs and downloadable games, it also has multiplayer,
voice chat, video chat, store, and bowser features for its online use.
It comes with
a drive capacity of 500GB and will be controlled with wired or wireless
controllers. Your PS4 also comes handy with a weight of 2.8kg.
Sony also
revealed a price drop for its handheld PS Vita. It announced the device will
now go for $199 in the U.S and €199 in Europe. It is expected that
the PS Vita will be able to play PS4 games when you use the consoles Remote
Play feature.
The Play
Station 4 will support Twitch, a live internet streaming service devoted to
video gaming.
Microsoft has
not yet revealed when it will release the Xbox One to the market but there are
rumours that the Xbox One could also be in the market as early as November.
