Quotes for the week: Steve Ballmer (1956- )

Steve Ballmer is the present Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the giant software company Microsoft. He was in charge during Microsoft’s big rise in the PC market and obviously during Microsoft’s struggles to gain ground in the mobile devices market.

He is to step down as Microsoft’s CEO in the next 12 months as the company seeks another man in the helm of affairs who will lead the innovations it badly needs at the moment.

Google is not a real company. It’s a house of cards.
Linux is a cancer that attaches in an intellectual property sense to everything it touches.
Our people, our shareholders, me, Bill Gates, we expect to change the world in every way, to succeed wildly at everything we touch, to have the broadest impact of any company in the world.
You don’t need to be a computer scientist to use a Windows Phone. I think you do to use an Android phone … it is hard for me to be excited about the Android phones.” (in 2011)
