Apple’s September 10 event confirmed

Few weeks back, there were rumours that we could see another version of an Apple iPhone on the 10th of September. The rumours have now been confirmed as Apple has sent out press invites for the event on the 10th which is next Tuesday. The colourful invite bears the tag ‘this should brighten up everyone’s day’.

It is expected that Apple will launch its new smartphones during the event. Apple has always released a single smartphone into the market at a time but it is going to change the custom this year according to reports.

It is expected that along with the launch of the premium iPhone which will likely be called iPhone 5S, Apple will also release a low-budget iPhone 5C to target developing countries where people seem to go for the cheaper smartphones.

There have been rumours that the new iPhone 5S will have a fingerprint scanner that will enhance the security of the device. The new operating system iOS 7 is also expected to be unveiled along with the smartphones. Information about the next iPad is not expected to be revealed at the event.

The time of the event will be 1pm ET (10am PT/6pm GMT) at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters in California. By then we will know what Apple have in stock for us as Apple didn’t reveal the products it will launch on that day.

Before then though, Samsung is holding its event tomorrow in Berlin, Germany where it will reveal two gadgets which are the smartwatch Galaxy Gear and phablet Galaxy Note 3. It is also expected that Sony will launch the Xperia Z1 Honami tomorrow. Stay tuned.
